How to measure a wall correctly for wallpaper

Notes for

Measurement of Wallpaper

  • You will need a Measuring Tape
  • WallOnClick uses inches as units to measure the dimensions
  • Measure your wall in several places for height and length.
  • Write down the highest value
  • Only the dimensions of the wall are needed, don’t include any skirting board or coving
  • We print wallpaper 1 inch higher in height, but we also recommend you to add 5 cm (2 inches) to the measurements, both width and height
  • This will make installation easier and safer
  • See below for wall measurement tips

Measure Wallpaper for

Standard Wall

  • Measure the full height and width of the wall
  • Do not include skirting boards here
  • Measure twice to avoid mistakes
  • We recommend you to add 2 inches (5 cm) to the measurements, both width and height

Measure Wallpaper for

  • Obstacles can be door, window, or anything on which Wallpaper cannot be installed on
  • Simply measure the total height and width of the wall
  • The wallpaper on the obstacle will be cut off during installation
  • Any doubt, send us a drawing and photo with all 4 corners of the wall with all dimensions and we will show you how the wallpaper will look with the selected image
  • We recommend you to add 2 inches (5 cm) to the measurements, both width and height

  • WallsOnClick will produce rectangular or square wallpaper, and the excess parts will be cut off during installation
  • Any slant measurement taken will result in an incorrect measurement and wallpaper design or material produced will have incorrect results
  • Any doubt, send us a drawing with all dimensions and we will show you how the wallpaper will look with the selected image
  • We recommend you to add 2 inches (5 cm) to the measurements, both width and height
